Job Description
Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a difference as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) working onsite with students near Independence, MO. This is a full-time, contract opportunity for the upcoming academic year, with hours from 9:00 am to 4:40 pm, Monday through Friday. You’ll have the chance to provide direct therapy, foster communication skills, and work closely with a supportive educational team. The specific caseload and school assignment will be discussed during the selection process—share your preferences to help us find the best fit for you.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid SLP license
- SLP-CCC certification required
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Skilled in delivering evidence-based speech and language interventions
- Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
What You’ll Do:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations as needed
- Develop individualized treatment plans and maintain thorough documentation
- Consult with teachers and staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings and support compliance with educational regulations
- Offer training and support to families and school personnel regarding speech-language needs
