Join The Budd Group and become part of a team that supports your success—while even providing lunch every day!Position DetailsPosition: Groundskeeper-Athletic Fields (Full-Time)Pay Rate: $14.00 – $16.50 per hourSchedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PMPerks & BenefitsDaily Pay – Access your earnings when you need themFree Daily Lunch – during regular dining hall hoursPaid Time Off (PTO) & Paid HolidaysMedical, Dental & Vision Insurance (employee only coverage-paid at 100% for some plans)401(k) with 6% Company Match – Plan for your futureKey ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance of athletic fields including mowing, watering, aerating, fertilizing and weeding.Inspect fields for hazards, damage, report and assist in repairs.Operate and maintain equipment such as reel mower, lawn mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, weed-eaters, line markers and power tools.Perform general landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, and leaf removalAssist with field renovations, including seeding and top dressingSupport irrigation system inspections, drainage systems and minor repairs.Load and unload equipment and materials for daily job assignmentsThe employee will occasionally interact with the customer in a professional mannerFollow all safety procedures and promote a safe work environmentReport damaged, malfunctioning, or unsafe equipment to the Landscaping SupervisorAssist with the application of fertilizers, grass seed, and other treatmentsPlant and maintain trees, shrubs, and other landscape materialsWater plants, trees, and shrubs as neededPerform light grading using hand toolsReport property damage, plant diseases, dead plant material, and quality concernsAssist with snow removal when requiredPerform additional duties as assignedRequirements2 year athletic field experience requiredAbility to perform all essential duties safely and effectivelyStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workAbility to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructionsGood communication and teamwork skillsBasic problem-solving abilitiesMust have a valid drivers licenseMust be 18 years or olderAbility to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedlyMust pass a background check, MVR, and drug screeningReliable, dependable, and positive team attitudeSpray applicator license preferredPhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle and reach with arms and hands. The noise level is moderate.
