Medical Surgical Oncology RN

This is a 13-week contract position.

Nights, 3x12-Hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15). Every other weekend is required.

We are seeking skilled Registered Nurses for a Medical Surgical Oncology unit. This position requires expertise in various medical-surgical procedures and oncology care, including but not limited to administration of chemotherapy, managing complex patient needs, and providing essential care in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with medical-surgical and oncology diagnoses.
• Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy, both IV and PO, as required.
• Perform blood product administration, central line blood draws, and first line IV access.
• Manage surgical drains, chest tubes, insulin and heparin drips, and monitor vital signs.
• Implement isolation precautions and wound care, including use of wound vacs.
• Collaborate with various healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, and social services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Oncology certification preferred; able to administer chemotherapy.
• Current RN license (NC or compact) required.
• Certifications in BLS and Chemotherapy (ONS/ONCC) are mandatory.
• First-time travelers are welcome; local candidates accepted with a rate difference.
