About the Position

Job Title: Cath Lab RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 5x8 (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience required; must have previous travel experience in Cath Lab. First-time travelers accepted with 2 years experience in Cath Lab. License: Valid state license must be active by start date; pending licenses accepted. Certifications: Required certifications include ACLS and BLS. NIHSS preferred. Must-Have: - Experience with Cerner charting system. - Ability to work autonomously in a team of three. - Availability for on-call duty one night per week and every fourth weekend. - Ability to float to Interventional Radiology if needed. Description: The position involves working in the Cath Lab as a Registered Nurse. The shift consists of five 8-hour days starting at 7:00 AM, with one late start of 8:00 AM each week. Nurses are required to be on-call one night per week and participate in an every fourth weekend rotation. Floating to Interventional Radiology may be necessary based on case load. Nurses must be able to operate independently with limited staffing when necessary. The unit typically handles adult and geriatric patients, with a daily census that varies based on volume. Staff work with interdisciplinary teams, including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and others. There is an emphasis on maintaining professional conduct. Travelers must complete required modules before starting and comply with unit policies. Cardiovascular nursing skills, including various procedures and patient management, are essential for success in this role. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to adapt and manage diverse clinical situations.
