Key Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy treatment services to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) setting under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Assist in the rehabilitation of patients recovering from conditions such as strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, amputations, and trauma
• Implement individualized treatment plans designed to help patients recover function and return home as quickly and safely as possible
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Virginia or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a PTA
• Experience working in an inpatient rehabilitation or acute care setting
• Current CPR/BLS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) environment
• Familiarity with rehabilitation of neurological, orthopedic, and trauma patient populations
• Experience with travel therapy assignments or adaptability to new clinical environments
