Job Title

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Inpatient Rehabilitation (IRF)

Lynchburg, VA | Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy treatments to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Assist in the rehabilitation of patients recovering from conditions such as strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, amputations, and trauma
• Document patient progress accurately and in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to support patient recovery goals and safe discharge planning
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and ongoing rehabilitation strategies

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license valid in the state of Virginia
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a PTA
• Experience in an inpatient rehabilitation or acute care setting
• Ability to begin assignment on or around September 14, 2026

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF)
• Familiarity with treating neurological, orthopedic, and trauma-related diagnoses
• Strong documentation and communication skills in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment
