Using the MRL framework, we ensure that supplier manufacturing processes, logistics, and operational capabilities mature to meet Lockheed Martin’s schedule, cost, and performance commitments. This position works side‑by‑side with product engineering, supply‑chain planning, and production operations to deliver a synchronized, production‑ready solution. The person in this role will be a member of a five-person core team and expected to collaborate closely with program management, procurement, supplier quality, and manufacturing execution.The ability to effectively facilitate, communicate, coordinate, and collaborate among various internal and external stakeholders in supply chain, engineering, program and quality is key to successful manufacuting readiness events. This position will require 10-15% travel per year to LM suppliers. Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate MRL Review Cycle – Schedule, run, and document all MRL events (kick‑offs, LM‑supplier‑customer syncs, T‑/ T+ milestones, out‑briefs).Integrate Status Reporting – Consolidate and present a summary of a supplier's program, supply, engineering, quality, and operations health to senior leadership.Stakeholder Coordination – Act as the primary liaison among program management, procurement, supplier quality, and manufacturing execution.Contractual & Customer Support – Ensure MRL deliverables satisfy contractual obligations and customer expectations.Risk Mitigation – Help assessment teams identify and communicate supply‑chain risks early to drive corrective actions across multiple Lines of Business (LOBs).Travel – Conduct onsite supplier visits (4‑8 trips per year, each 2‑4 days).Essentially, you will perform activities involving the producibility and quality of the product, and the processes that directly pertain, encompassing primarily one or more of the following engineering disciplines: failure analysis, industrial, manufacturing, manufacturing equipment, process, product, quality assurance, reliability, supplier quality, Lean Six Sigma, test, and tool.Basic QualificationsAbility to communicate at all levels of the organization.Effective project plan implementation and integration with cross functional teams. Large group meeting facilitation and negotiation skills.Effective executive level presentation and briefing skills.Ability to manage individual tasks, and deliver results on schedule while coordinating across cross‑functional teams.Desired SkillsUnderstanding of production‑capacity parts, tooling, repair/depot/sustainment capabilities, and manufacturing processes across the product life‑cycle.Ability to assess and advance Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRL), lead technical evaluations, and drive risk‑mitigation.Expertise in supply‑planning strategies, capacity metrics, and the development of actionable reports.Proven experience building relationships with suppliers, buyers, and leadership.Proven experience in clear status reporting (verbally or written) to multiple levels of management.
