Supply Chain Business Manager

This is a 12 months, Hybrid (3 days/week) role in Fremont OR Livermore Top Skills Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. ERP systems (SAP) Problem solving Commodities Heaters, Pumps, Linear Motion, COTS, and Distribution Primary Focus Delivery Management / On-Time Delivery Performance (OTD/OTDP) Qualifications Five (5) years of experience in managing global factories and various commodities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with scalable and repeatable results. Knowledge, experience and practical use of Microsoft Excel, SAP or other ERP systems. Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% (including domestic and international), mostly domestic travel for internal meetings. Responsibilities Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials purchases. Defines metrics and monitors supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement. Regularly evaluate quality and performance benchmarks, and the risks associated with the preferred supply base selection. Continuously works on process improvement to deploy & develop best known methods related to procurement, inventory control (e.g., JIT, Kanban, min/max) & manufacturing strategies. Establishes goals with suppliers to ensure material delivery meets forecasted demand. Represents supplier business management on cross‑functional commodity teams that focus on supply challenges, and ensures internal/external customer needs are satisfied. Works with engineering and the supplier to resolve complex problems to ensure on‑time delivery of critical material to support customer and company requirements. Develops presentations, white papers, process flow charts to support continuous process improvement projects. Works with suppliers to monitor product cost, preventing negative PPV and supporting cost reduction efforts. Drives the improvement of suppliers’ manufacturing processes to ensure product quality and on‑time delivery.
