Cytotechnologist (CT ASCP) job opportunity in Baltimore, MD area! This is a full time/permanent role with benefits. What You’ll Do Examine and interpretgynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimensaccurately and efficiently, following established laboratory procedures. Issuefinal diagnosesfor negative GYN cytology cases; submit all non-GYN results forpathologist reviewand final report release. Verifyspecimen acceptability and patient identificationthroughout all processing stages. Maintainquality control (QC), proficiency testing, andCLIA/DHMH compliancedocumentation in a timely and organized manner. Assist withfine needle aspiration (FNA)procedures—prepare and stain slides for evaluation. Accurately input test requests and results intoCernerwhile maintaining confidentiality and data integrity. Proactively expand your technical knowledge and participate in continuing education. Communicate effectively and courteously with pathologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, contributing to a collaborative lab culture. What We’re Looking For Education:Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Medical Technology, or related field. Experience:1–3 years of cytology or related clinical laboratory experience. Certification:Cytologist (ASCP or equivalent).
