They support the Front Office Manager as needed by resolving guest complaints, training staff and maintaining operational standards.Job Summary:Oversee daily front office operations, ensuring prompt, courteous, and efficient serviceMaintain a high level of guest service by providing support to Front Office and Guest Services teamsAssist Front Office Manager in all administrative tasks as assignedEnsure all staff are properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functionsEnsure guests receive prompt, professional attention and are greeted upon arrivalRespond appropriately to guest complaintsImplement appropriate service recovery gestures to ensure total guest satisfactionCommunicate to staff any VIP or special needs or requests and follow up on executionCommunicate and assist in achieving departmental guest satisfaction, revenue and profit goals and objectivesEnsure procedures are followed for security of monies, credit and financial transactions, and guest securityThroughout shift conduct routine inspections of the front office and public areas to ensure the appearance of such areas reflects highly on the hotel, brand, and CompanyPromote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departmentsWill serve as manager on duty as requiredEssential Functions of the Job:Ability to remain standing for up to 10 hoursAbility to remain stationary in desk/meeting environment for up to 8 hoursAbility to move up and down stairs occasionallyAbility to move quickly based on guest needsAbility to communicate and exchange information effectivelyAbility to complete a satisfactory background checkAbility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as occasional overnights as business requiresTechnology and Equipment Used:Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel programs.Property Management software (Opera)PhoneComputer and Printer/Copier/ScannerWorking Environment:Work will primarily take place in a hotel resort environmentKey Skills & Experience Required:2+ years of experience in a hotel/resort front office or similar settingStrong working knowledge of hotel PMS software, Opera preferredStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detailExcellent customer service and communications skillsFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as occasional overnights as business requiresMust know how to prioritize, delegate, and respond in a timely fashionAbility to work under pressure, multi-task, and stay focused while maintaining hospitalityNo Job Description for a position can possibly include all duties which may be requested by guests or required by the hotel.
