Job Description
This Rail/Ports Semi Truck Dispatcher role requires an experienced professional skilled in booking loads for ports and railroads, managing driver relations, and ensuring seamless transportation operations. You will coordinate effectively with drivers, fleet managers, and port and rail authorities within a medium-sized team environment, maintaining excellent communication and compliance to optimize haul schedules and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Book loads for semi trucks at ports and railroads
- Coordinate daily with drivers and fleet managers
- Plan efficient routes to meet schedule demands
- Manage communication across all involved parties
- Resolve operational problems promptly
- Monitor schedules and adjust as needed
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
- Provide excellent customer service
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in transportation dispatching
