As an Echo Tech/Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions.
Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies.
To be successful, you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.
- Produce two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of heart and related structures, using ultrasound equipment, for use by physician in diagnosis of heart disease and study of heart.
- Calculate, measure, and document appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation by physicians.
- Perform diagnostic carotid arterials and venous studies of upper and lower extremities and venous studies of patients with suspected peripheral vascular disease by following ICAVL guidelines.
- Explain procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient.
- Review test results with interpreting physician.
- Communicate with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical conditions while undergoing echocardiogram.
Required:
- Associates Other
- Successfully passed the Echocardiography Registry Exam
- 1 year related experience in an Echo/Vascular Laboratory
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, upon hire or
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, upon hire or
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, upon hire or
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo, upon hire or
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire or
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Fetal Echo, upon hire
