Communication Consultant – Employee Experience

What is a Communication Consultant – Employee Experience?
As a Regional Communication Consultant within our Value-Added Services communication practice, you will be responsible for development and execution of measurable, results-based communication plans and related deliverables to support the promotion of our clients' benefit programs. You should be a strong project manager, a competent writer, knowledgeable about employee benefits, and have the ability to present ideas to all levels of management in meetings or larger forums. In this role, you will balance hands-on execution with strategic advisory support, guiding clients and internal partners on communication priorities, approaches, and tradeoffs to drive measurable outcomes.

Criteria / Role Expectations
- Owns end-to-end delivery and day-to-day management of Value-Added Services communication engagements, including intake, scope definition, prioritization, timelines, and delivery oversight.
- Serves as primary point of accountability for quality, risk management, and issue escalation across assigned client workstreams.
- Defines and tracks success measures for communication initiatives, including engagement, client satisfaction, and adoption of benefit programs.
- Communicates outcomes and insights to clients and internal stakeholders to inform continuous improvement and future opportunities.
- Consult with clients to develop communication plans that define communication deliverables, timelines and budgets, and provide guidance and advice to clients on formulating key messages and the most effective methods and media
- Enhance team efficiency, productivity and effectiveness by sharing and leveraging best practices, and demonstrate a willingness to embrace different methods of working to optimize efficiencies, maximize client satisfaction and team member engagement.
- Models responsible use of AI in day-to-day work and decision-making, encouraging adoption across the team to improve efficiency, quality, and prioritization.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with WTW offices, external clients and business partners
- Conduct educational seminars, workshops, trainings and webcasts with clients and prospects on trends and best practices in HR and benefit communication
- Educate, train, and mentor local WTW colleagues on employee communications, solutions and the Value-Added Services client value proposition
Qualifications
- 7- 9 years of internal communication or marketing communications experience. Experience working with benefits is preferred; experience working for a benefits consulting or brokerage firms is a plus
- Experience delivering employee communications across digital platforms and ecosystems (e.g., portals, mobile, and integrated benefit experiences), with consideration for accessibility and diverse employee audiences.
- Self-motivated professional with ability to independently support employee communications for clients and prospects within the region while collaborating with and sharing knowledge with Value-Added Services team members
- Experience in developing and delivering communication plans based on clients' goals and objectives, taking into consideration each client's unique employee audience
- Ability to juggle competing demands of multiple clients and offices and to manage deadlines, vendors and projects effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating creativity as well as technical expertise
- Proven experience presenting in client meetings and at conferences and seminars
- Understanding of graphic design and the printing process, including production specifications, paper, etc.
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- A communications or related bachelor's degree is required, and an advanced degree is preferred
- Travel: Limited travel expected (up to ~15%), primarily within your region, with occasional broader travel as needed.
Compensation and Benefits Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
Compensation
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $104,000.00 - $140, 000.00 USD annually.
This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
