Registered Nurse (RN) Medical-Surgical Floor (MS) Austin, Texas
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical-Surgical Floor (MS) Neurology unit. This role supports inpatient care during night shift hours and includes assessments, pharmacology-related assessment tasks, and MedSurg skills. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift (12 shift hours) with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) (required for the role per posting); MedSurg assessment skills; pharmacology assessment skills; MedSurg skills
• Preferred Qualifications: NIHSS competency (preferred/nice to have), with candidates who have these skills considered first
• Additional Information: Night shift calling requirements are indicated in the posting; candidates should present as a positive team player
• Responsibilities: Perform patient assessments on the unit, including MedSurg assessments and pharmacology assessment-related tasks, and provide care aligned with MedSurg nursing skills
