Job Summary
An experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) is needed in a healthcare facility. This role involves supporting multiple units, primarily the Emergency Department (ED), with floating assignments across various inpatient units. The position requires flexibility, resourcefulness, and the ability to manage diverse patient care scenarios in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Position Description: Support mainly the Emergency Department with floating to other inpatient units, including Medical-Surgical, ICU, and Rehab units. Focus on high-acuity patient care, transport, and patient education.
• Required Qualifications: Current licensure as an RN, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certification, active working knowledge of cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV medication titration (e.g., Amiodarone, Cardizem, nitro, dopamine, dobutamine, insulin, heparin), chest tubes, lumbar drains, trachs, and general drains. Minimal experience required: 0 years.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Orientation includes 2 days of hospital onboarding and 1 day on the assigned unit. The RN will call to confirm shifts 30-45 minutes in advance and must arrive on time. No holiday requests, no on-call responsibilities, and must be willing to add days if needed to extend the assignment. Floating to various units within scope of practice is expected.
