Electromyography Technologist
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Assignment Details: Guaranteed Hours: 40, Contract Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- Knowledge of patient history, anatomy, and technical skills pertinent to electromyography.
- Strong communication and computer skills (MS Office - Excel, Word).
- Ability to problem solve and resolve technical issues within the field.
- Proficiency in electrode placement and cleaning procedures for equipment.
- Familiarity with data entry to electronic health record and hospital billing.
- Ability to teach co-workers and precept students in the field.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform nerve conduction studies and assist physicians with needle examinations in the laboratory and at the patient's bedside.
- Assemble and disassemble EMG equipment for patient procedures.
- Record testing responses and differentiate between normal and abnormal responses.
- Provide care to young adult, adult, and geriatric age patients.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, administrators, and staff.
