Quality Technician

Quality TechnicianYou will inspect metal stamped parts by loading them into a CMM, running the appropriate programs, and comparing results to blueprints, as well as performing manual measurements with precision tools to verify that parts meet quality standards.Responsibilities:Perform detailed quality inspections on metal stamped and fabricated parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.Compare measured dimensions to blueprint specifications to verify compliance with quality requirements.Identify nonconforming parts and communicate findings clearly to production and leadership teams.Document inspection results accurately and maintain organized records to support quality control and traceability.Support continuous improvement efforts by reporting recurring quality issues and suggesting opportunities to enhance inspection processes.Work collaboratively with the leadership team and production staff to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards.Handle and inspect large metal parts produced by presses up to 3,000 tons, following all safety and quality procedures.Maintain a clean and orderly inspection area and ensure measuring tools and equipment are properly cared for and calibrated as required.Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Sterling, KY.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $16.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
