EMR System: Athena Clinical Facility: Ascension Saint Thomas Heart Location: Gallatin, TN This job location is currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type What You Will Do Ascension Saint Thomas Heart Cardiology Opportunity Ascension Saint Thomas Heart is one of the most experienced cardiac programs in the nation. Our program includes more than 70 cardiac specialists serving a large regional network of 59 plus practice locations. Ascension Saint Thomas Heart is seeking a talented and ambitious interventional cardiologist to work alongside a long standing interventional cardiologist as well as an invasive non-interventional cardiologist and two electrophysiologists to expand our practice in Gallatin, Tennessee. The candidate will be fellowship trained in interventional cardiology, possess a strong work ethic, be a team player, and serve as an ambassador for Ascension Saint Thomas Heart and the Cardiovascular Service Line. The Practice Join an established interventional cardiology group as the service line expands. Internal multi-specialty referral network. Join a team of General and Interventional Cardiologist to work in the clinic, make rounds in the hospitals, and be part of the call rotation. Collaboration with a very large CV Service Line both in-person and virtually. Opportunity to participate in clinical research. Requirements BC/BE in Cardiology. Strong work ethic and team player. Serve as an ambassador for Ascension Saint Thomas Heart and the Cardiovascular Service Line. Experience strongly preferred. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. KY License also required if working in a Kentucky facility. Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required. Benefits Paid time off (PTO).
