About the Position

Job Title: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Surgical Tech Duration: 12 Months Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 07:00 - 17:30 Experience: Minimum 2 years of Trauma Level I experience required. License: Must be in hand prior to start date. Temporary licenses may be obtainable once permanent license applications have been submitted. Certifications: BCLS and NBSTSA required. Must-Have: - Trauma Level I experience. - Skill sets in Neuro, Ortho Trauma, and Totals. - Neuro Spine and Basic Craniotomy and VP shunt experience. - Experience with PV-RX AAA and Thrombectomies. - Experience with Trauma cases including Spleen, Organ Donation, GSW, and Thoracotomies. - Urology experience with Cystos and Stent Placements. - Ability to perform all General, GYN, and Laparoscopic cases. - Basic knowledge of ENT and Plastics is preferred, with some flap and scope experience. - Oral Max skills and experience with Dilation & Curettage and Laparoscopic-assisted gynecological procedures. - MUST have 3's and 4's in Neuro and Trauma. - Special equipment experience with DaVinci XI is required. Description: Please provide 2-3 days of interview availability when submitting candidates. Neuro call requirement consists of 90-120 hours every 6 weeks. Special Procedures/Unit Details: Must have 3/4 on Neuro and Trauma. Aneurysm cases are required for Neuro call; this will primarily affect core responsibilities. Unit requires at least one year of Level I trauma experience. Travelers must be willing to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Candidates will be required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Supervisory references are required. Eligible local travelers will be offered in-state rates. Background policy must be noted prior to submission for approval. Consecutive contract policy applies. Current or past travelers must take designated breaks to reset travel eligibility prior to reapplying. In-state residents require a break to reset eligibility prior to the traveler’s year mark. Out-of-state residents also require a break before resetting eligibility.
