Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: NIH and Swallow Screen preferred Must-Have: - Competence in dysrhythmia - Ideal experience in neuro Description: The flagship hospital is a tertiary care regional referral hospital known for clinical excellence and nationally recognized patient outcomes. It offers specialized services including a regional Level 1 Trauma Center, Level 3 Regional Intensive Care Nursery, and High-risk Obstetrical Care. The facility provides a wide range of specialties including Bariatrics & Weight Loss, Cancer Care, Cardiology, Critical Care, Diabetes Care, General Surgery, Imaging, Maternity Care, Orthopedics, Palliative Care, Client, Stroke Care, and Surgical Services. All candidates must have complete and clear screenings prior to starting. Familiarity with electronic health records is required. Candidates must be competent in dysrhythmia and will take a dysrhythmia and math dosage test on the first day. Study guides will be provided along with a welcome packet. Candidates must be available for holidays as discussed during the screening. The unit has 22 beds with patient ratios of 5:1 and 6:1. The equipment includes vital sign machines and cardiac monitors. The patient population primarily consists of adults. Common diagnoses/treatments include CVA, TIA, inability to ambulate, and seizures. Personality fit will be determined during the screening process. All necessary facility education will be provided during the orientation period. Dress code requires scrubs and prohibits hoodies, t-shirts, and shirts with wording or pictures. Facial piercings are also not permitted.
