Key responsibilities of the Anesthesia Technician include:

• Assist in patient care during anesthesia, ensuring equipment availability and communication with clinicians.
• Operate complex equipment such as the cell-saver machine, and assist in advanced surgical cases.
• Ensure anesthesia equipment is well-maintained and provide troubleshooting support.
• Contribute to training programs for staff on anesthesia technology and equipment.
• Set up and troubleshoot equipment like infusion pumps and anesthesia machines.
• Prepare procedural rooms and provide end-of-day equipment setups.
• Assist with various administrative tasks and provide backup support to supervisors.

Requirements of the Anesthesia Technician include:

• BLS certification
• Two years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician
• Certification by a recognized professional body preferred
