Senior Application Developer

Job Summary:
The Senior Application Developer / Maintenance Engineer leads the correction of defects, application enhancements, report development, code maintenance, and release implementation activities. This role supports ongoing application operations and maintenance, ensuring software reliability and performance within enterprise environments. Responsibilities:
- Support application operations and maintenance activities.
- Develop software enhancements and modify existing applications.
- Modify financial reports and interfaces as required.
- Identify and resolve application defects promptly.
- Maintain and manage source code repositories.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and standards.
- Support change management processes and assist in software release implementations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise application development.
- Proficiency with Java and/or .NET enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.
- Experience supporting financial or ERP-type systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with financial reporting tools and interface development.
- Familiarity with automated testing and continuous integration tools.
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
- May require adherence to strict change management and release schedules.
- Possible on-call support for critical application issues.
- Standard business hours with potential for extended hours during release cycles or critical maintenance.
