All communications between crews, callers, hospitals, management and others flows through the dispatcher. This position requires a strong team player with a professional attitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work well under pressure to ensure that all calls are responded to safely and rapidly./ppKey Duties and Responsibilities:/pulliWorking directly with hospitals, healthcare provider, facilities, patients, patients family members and patient caretakers patient to set up any and all transport/liliVerifying patients insurance coverage/liliAnswering phone calls and making phone calls/liliTaking insurance information for company billing department/liliProcessing credit card payments/liliDispatching calls using radio codes and practices/li/ulpRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:/pulliKnowledge of Medical Terminology/liliExcellent interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills and ability to communicate clearly in English/liliStrong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment/liliAbility to establish effective working relationships with personnel from multiple departments and divisions/liliFlexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed due to the nature of the EMS industry we operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week/li/ulpPreferred Experience:/pulliPrevious Emergency Medical Services (EMS) experience, Strongly Preferred/liliPrevious experience utilizing Computer Assisted Dispatch (CAD) systems or similar systems/li/ulpInstaCare EMS is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
