Job Title: Medical Assistant

Supervisor: Office Manager

Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting physicians with evaluation, management and treatment of patients during office visits and other tasks related to the visits.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist physician with the delivery of patient care management
• Obtain and document vital signs
• Obtain and document patient history information
• Answer and return patient phone calls
• Help with scheduling patient appointments
• Remove sutures and staples
• Application of splints and fitting durable medical equipment
• Patient education
• Stock and order medical supplies
• Clean equipment and patient rooms
• Changing biohazard bags and sharps containers per proper protocol
• Help schedule and coordinate patient surgeries
• Scan documents into electronic health records
• Maintain work area in a safe, clean and orderly fashion
• Other duties designated by the supervisor
