MRI Technologist

This role is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures using specialized equipment. The technologist applies technical expertise and judgment to produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and prepare MRI equipment for imaging procedures.
• Position patients and coils to optimize image quality.
• Educate patients about the imaging process and provide pre-procedure instructions.
• Review patient safety questionnaires prior to scans to ensure safety compliance.
• Label and evaluate images for technical quality before transmitting to PACS.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the MRI suite and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited JCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Hold a valid New York State License (L.R.T) and ARRT certification.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and MRI physics.
• Possess at least two years of MRI technologist experience preferred.
• Ability to operate MRI equipment safely and effectively.
