Risk & Safety Specialist

NextStep Recruiting has partnered with a healthcare services organization to identify a Risk & Safety Specialist in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This is a remote contract opportunity for candidates based locally in DFW and will support risk management operations, compliance coordination, and administrative oversight in a fast-paced environment. This position is ideal for a highly organized professional who thrives in high-volume settings, enjoys managing multiple moving pieces, and can confidently act as a central point of coordination across teams and vendors.

Required:

• Prior experience within insurance, risk management, safety, or related operational support environments
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high-volume workflows and shifting priorities
• Intermediate Excel skills with experience maintaining trackers, reports, and detailed records
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Must reside in the DFW area and be comfortable occasionally visiting the office

Preferred:

• Experience handling invoices, vendor coordination, or accounts payable-related processes
• Exposure to compliance, claims routing, or safety-related administration
• Familiarity with driver monitoring or compliance tracking programs
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments
• Background in healthcare, insurance, or regulated industries
