Warehouse Lead

Mueller Distributors, a family‑run business since 1875, is seeking a Warehouse Lead to manage our Lockland Branch warehouse. Position Details Job Title: Warehouse Lead Location: Covington, KY Job Id: 240 # of Openings: 1 Reporting To: Lockland Branch management Responsibilities Operate residential and commercial warehouse functions. Unload, inspect, and check materials; use forklift, hoist, or hand to move inventory; capable of lifting 75 lbs. Read pick orders accurately, assemble customer orders, and place orders on pallets or shelves or convey them to pickup areas. Load products onto customer or company trucks following established operating and safety procedures; install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Unload inventory from vendor delivery trucks in accordance with established procedures. Sort and place received products on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code; label, tag, or mark products as instructed. Record amounts of products received or distributed in accordance with procedures. Execute pre‑receive procedures on all incoming shipments. Verify correct quantities and products, report discrepancies to supervisor immediately, and submit all required or requested reports accurately and timely. Follow and support the 4‑sure Program. Comply with all safety procedures; operate equipment and perform duties safely; complete Incident Reports for any incidents that may cause injury or damage. Inventory (count) products in warehouse and yard as instructed. Maintain forklift certification; inspect and maintain forklift and other equipment as required. Keep work area clean, orderly, and in the best condition within the warehouse. Report customer complaints, claims, or competitive information to supervisor immediately. Participate in performance evaluation processes; set improvement goals and pursue them. Provide customer service – prioritize the customer’s needs. Qualifications Prior warehouse or logistics experience preferred. Valid forklift certification. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks. Detail‑oriented, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
