Stonebrook Exterior is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s general ledger accounting and ensuring financial reporting accuracy.

Essential Job Functions  

• Review and reconcile cash and credit card activity and ensure transactions are accurately recorded in Sage Intacct. 
• Prepare and post month-end journal entries 
• Perform assigned month-end and year-end close processes 
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations 
• Prepare and document balance sheet account reconciliations 
• Perform monthly subledger to general ledger reconciliations, including AP, AR, payroll and other supporting schedules 
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciling items 
• Reconcile intercompany balances 
• Assist with job-cost and project-related accounting reconciliations 
• Support monthly financial reporting and perform variance analysis 
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies 
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies 
• Other projects or duties as assigned

• Experience with job costing or project-based accounting preferred. 

Qualifications  

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. 
• 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or another project-based industry. 
• General ledger and month-end close experience strongly preferred. 
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems; Sage Intacct experience preferred but not required. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formatting, data manipulation, formulas, lookups, and PivotTables. 
• Ability to learn and work across multiple software systems.
