License: Current RN license in state of employment or compact

Certifications: BLS and ACLS required

Must-Have: Experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, Experience with Impellas, Experience with post-operative cardiovascular surgeries, Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)

Description: The competent nurse practices independently and demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. Provides routine and complex care with a focus on achieving long-range goals. Continues to develop skills in coping with and managing contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to manage the clinical situation. Meets expectations of applicable competencies, including leadership attributes. Consistent with the Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocols. Monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments. Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers. Identifies issues and resources to support patient care. Work Schedule: 7 PM - 7 AM Work Type: Full Time
