Job Description
The Lead Line Cook will oversee a team of 4-6 culinary professionals in an American cuisine-focused kitchen. This role involves ensuring high-quality food preparation, maintaining safety standards, and executing menu items efficiently. The Lead Line Cook will also manage station setup and waste reduction efforts, working closely with POS software for order and inventory management. Shifts and schedules are organized on a weekly basis.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food to quality and presentation standards
- Monitor and maintain consistency and quality control
- Execute menu items accurately and timely
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations
- Set up and organize culinary stations before shifts
- Minimize food waste through proper portioning and storage
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years experience in culinary arts
- Expertise in culinary techniques for American cuisine
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Experience with inventory management
- Strong time management skills
- Effective communication abilities
- High attention to detail
