Travel LPN - LPN

American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a Medical Surgical unit requiring IV certification, 2+ years of recent specialty experience, and prior travel assignment experience.

Job Details

• Work in a large, short term acute care, Level I Trauma Center hospital,
• Medical Surgical unit assignment,
• Team nursing model with 1:7 patient ratios, supported by PCC, RN, and other staff,
• 13-week assignment on night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM),
• 36 or 48 hour weekly schedule options available,
• Weekend coverage required as needed,
• On-call required as needed,
• May float between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius, though cross-campus floating is rare,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state or compact license compliant with NLC guidelines required if applicable,
• Pending licensure not accepted,
• IV certification firmly required,
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical Surgical specialty required, 3+ years preferred,
• Large hospital experience required,
• Level I Trauma Center experience required,
• At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers not accepted,
• ADN accepted for this position,
• Cerner EMR experience preferred,
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration,
• Vaccination status documentation required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Work in a fast-paced Medical Surgical unit within a Level I Trauma Center,
• Team nursing environment with support from PCC, RN, and other clinical staff,
• Weekend block scheduling may be considered, though block scheduling is generally not accommodated,
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment, must be willing to work 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 of these holidays fall within the assignment, must work at least 1,
• Local candidates not accepted; must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered,
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of application, as RTO requests will not be accommodated after an offer is made,
• Former permanent staff or travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler,
• Candidates with expiring certifications during the assignment must have a documented renewal plan
