Schedule: Fully on-site, Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (hours may vary)The main function of a payroll specialist is to assist in payroll accounting and reporting, including stop payments and transactions. The typical payroll specialist will be responsible for ensuring the payroll processing is compliant with all Federal and State Laws.ResponsibilitiesKronos timecard maintenanceWorkday HRIS data integrityAccurate payroll process management via UltiProTime accrual managementAuditing of data sets between various payroll source systemsManage relationships within defined SLAs while providing ongoing research, resolution, product support, and a superior customer experience to workers, HR, accounting, retirement program and benefits administrators, as well as payroll and timekeeping vendorsAct as the Customer Experience team for payroll-related inquiries submitted via Service Request ticketing system, phone, and other various channels (inc. team email box management)Evaluate processes and procedural documents for increased efficiencies and opportunities for continuous improvementManage leaves of absence and calculation of supplemental benefit paymentsSupport Sr. Payroll Analysts in delivering high-quality results to payroll customersSupport recurring and ad hoc reporting, including production of basic to intermediate reporting to various internal and external stakeholdersSupport various project initiatives including collection of user requirements for system enhancements and solutionsSupport periodic and cumulative audit processes for monthly, quarterly, and annual activitiesOther duties as assignedRequirementsBachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent training required5-7 years of relevant experience required3+ years of US & CAN work experience in a payroll role, preferably in a 3rd party payroll or shared service environment2+ years in a customer service-related field and ability to demonstrate strong customer relationship skillsExperience with top-tier payroll and HRIS systems (UKGPro [UltiPro], UKG WFC [Kronos], UKG WFD [Dimensions], Workday, or similar)Ability to troubleshoot and resolve requests using pre-defined and creative solutionsExpertly interpret, create, and present a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule formProduce measurable results in a collaborative team environment as well as independently to manage time and priorities while achieving defined personal and team goalsPayroll audit, control, quality assurance and/or tax management experiencePayroll accounting experience including GL posting, accruals and reconciliation of payroll expensesDemonstrate intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPointAPA Fundamental Payroll Certificate (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designations preferredStaffmark talent working with this client receive competitive compensation and a great benefits package!
