## Maintenance Associate - Burlington, NJApplylocations: Burlington-NJ-UStime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: R26000850**Preferred Qualifications*** 1+ years of experience performing general building maintenance functions.* Experience with painting, general plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance.* Knowledge of mechanical building construction of commercial properties.**Job Summary**Oversees, maintains, and performs non-skilled repairs on equipment and other structures within a distribution center.**Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities*** Completes basic building maintenance tasks or works with vendors on more complex tasks, including painting, plumbing, electrical lighting, HVAC, and material handling equipment repairs.* Maintains a safe and clean working environment for distribution associates.* Performs limited preventative maintenance inspections on assigned warehouse equipment assets and buildings.* Delivers equipment status reports on open and closed maintenance work orders.* Provides operational support for general warehouse duties.* Assists with parts inventory management and reports maintenance problems to management.* Operates material handling equipment, battery equipment, and other powered equipment.* Ensures hazardous materials are properly stored, managed, and maintained.**Nature and Scope*** Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.* Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.**Work Environment*** Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical environment. Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes. Ability to make repetitive movements, such as using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting.* Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.**Education and Experience*** HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required.
