We're partnering with a growing outpatient psychiatric organization in Long Beach to hire a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist for a full-time hybrid role combining direct patient care, team leadership, and community-based collaboration.\n

\nThis is an opportunity to lead a clinical office within a mission-driven group serving diverse and underserved populations, with optional pathways into interventional psychiatry and clinical research.\n

Role Overview: \n
\nThis position is a full-time, 5-day schedule with a hybrid structure (up to 2 days remote):\n
\n
Clinical: \n

\n
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents, in person and via telehealth
\n
• Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care
\n
• Develop individualized, integrated treatment plans with the care team
\n
• Participate in crisis intervention and emergency care as needed
\n

\n
• Supervise and support mid-level providers (NPs, PAs) and collaborate with therapists
\n
• Serve as a key clinical leader for the office
\n
• Engage with local agencies, treatment centers, and families to support holistic patient care
\n
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment, and wellness practices
\n

\n
• MD or DO with active California license, NPI, and DEA registration (or eligibility)
\n
• Subspecialty training or experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
\n
• Board Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, or Board Eligible with certification within 1 year
\n
• Comfortable supervising mid-level providers
\n
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care, recovery principles, and integrated approaches across pediatric and adult psychiatry
\n
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills
\n

\n
• 2+ years of independent psychiatric practice
\n
• Prior supervision experience with NPs or PAs
\n
• Interest in interventional psychiatry (TMS) or clinical research
\n
• Spanish language skills (highly valued)
\n
• Experience with Medicaid and Medicare populations
\n
