Tigg's Canteen Services is currently hiring a Permanent Full-Time Lead Cook to join our team at the Fayette County Jail in Connersville, Indiana .
We are looking for a dependable and motivated individual with integrity, a positive attitude, and strong character. If you enjoy working in a structured environment, taking on leadership responsibilities, and being part of a team, this could be the opportunity for you!

Starting Pay: $19.00 per hour

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Lead Cook , you will play an important role in the daily operation of the kitchen. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and instructing inmate workers in the kitchen
- Assisting with daily meal preparation
- Preparing, baking, and cooking food
- Reading and following company recipes and procedures
- Helping maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Assisting with kitchen clean-up
- Working successfully within a structured correctional environment

- The ability to read and follow company recipes
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills
- A willingness to learn and take direction
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to work varying days and hours between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM
- Ability to successfully obtain clearance to enter the facility
Previous food service or kitchen experience is a plus, but it is not required. We are happy to train the right person!
