Construction Project Coordinator

Construction Project Coordinator Columbus, OH 43240 – On-site – Chicago, IL and Columbus, OH. Overview As a Construction Project Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role within our regional project team by supporting the delivery of large construction projects. With strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in construction project management technology, you will contribute to successful project delivery. Responsibilities Project Support: Support Project Managers in project execution; work with accounting teams, communicate with vendors and clients, and serve as a liaison for the Design and Construction teams. Stakeholder Management: Engage with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. Contract Administration: Review and administer contracts with vendors and suppliers, ensuring adherence to vendor agreements, affidavits, and lien waivers. Project Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, financial reports, and progress updates, ensuring all documents are organized and easily accessible. Financial Management: Review and process project budgets, vendor proposals/bids, change orders, and invoices within the Project Management financial systems and confirm accuracy against the budget and/or contract. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management (preferred). 2–5+ years of practical experience in construction or accounting (required). Strong verbal and written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail (required). Well-versed in construction methodologies and a strong understanding of the various stages of construction, from concept to close-out (required). Familiarity with GMP contracts and other construction contracts valued at $20 MM+ (preferred). Ability to think and work independently, demonstrate initiative, and collaborate effectively with multiple individuals on various projects to meet assigned deadlines. Software proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with PMWeb is a plus. Detail-oriented and organized with a proactive and self‑motivated attitude. Visa Sponsorship This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Compensation 70,000.00 – 80,000.00 USD per year.
