This travel pharmacist opportunity in Buellton, CA offers a chance to provide specialized pharmacy services across a facility with 60 acute care beds and over 100 long-term care beds. With an ASAP start and a contract duration of 26 weeks or longer, you will play a critical role in supporting patient care through effective medication management.
Schedule and Work Hours:• Variable days and afternoons• Four 10-hour shifts per week
Key Responsibilities:• Perform order verification to ensure accuracy and safety of medication dispensing• Supervise pharmacy technicians, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance• Consult with physicians and nurses to optimize pharmacotherapy plans• Apply pharmacokinetic principles in patient care decisions• Utilize Altera Sunrise pharmacy system, with comprehensive training provided on this unique platform
Qualifications and Desired Experience:• Active California pharmacist license is required• Current hospital pharmacy experience preferred to thrive in this acute and long-term care environment
