Ultrasound TechnicianMontclair Breast Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technician, or Sonographer, responsible for using ultrasound equipment to help visualize internal anatomy functions. Their duties include calibrating and manipulating ultrasound equipment to conduct appointments, taking pictures or videos of potential abnormalities and discreetly notifying medical personnel if they identify something concerning.Montclair Breast Center is seeking a per diem, part-time, or full-time ultrasound technician.Essential Functions:The duties of an Ultrasound Technician:Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concernPrepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsiesReport to the appropriate medical staff of any abnormalities that require immediate attentionMaintain sonography equipment and report machinery failureConduct scan testsManage several patients and priorities and be able to adapt to a fast-paced work environmentWork under minimal supervision and cooperate with other team membersQuality Assurance on equipment.Qualifications:Current State LicenseAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registry or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS)Specialized training (continuing education/certificates)Continuing education- this requirement specifies that an average of 5 ECE's/year be specific to breast ultrasound)We Offer:• Competitive Salary• Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance• Short and Long Term Disability• Life Insurance• 401(k) Plan• Paid Vacation & Holiday
