Litigation Paralegal

Overview A highly respected Florida defense firm seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support its Product Liability and Toxic Tort practice. Job Details Location: Miami, FL or Fort Lauderdale, FL Schedule: Monday through Friday, approximately 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Hybrid flexibility may be available for exceptional candidates (3–4 days onsite per week). Travel: Ability to travel within Florida for trial attendance as needed. Salary: $70,000 - $95,000 per year Responsibilities Review, organize, analyze, and summarize large volumes of case documents and records. Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, from inception through trial. Prepare witness files, trial exhibits, hearing materials, and case notebooks. Coordinate with expert witnesses, including document collection, scheduling, and trial preparation. Draft and manage discovery responses, subpoenas, and litigation-related filings. Conduct medical record reviews and prepare case summaries. Manage document productions and maintain litigation databases. Assist with trial preparation and attend trials throughout Florida as needed. File pleadings and litigation documents in Florida state and federal courts utilizing CM/ECF and applicable e‑filing systems. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience. Prior experience supporting complex litigation matters, preferably in product liability, toxic tort, insurance defense, general liability, construction defect, medical malpractice, or commercial litigation. Demonstrated trial preparation and trial support experience. Strong knowledge of Florida state and federal court procedures. Experience with CM/ECF filing systems and litigation document management. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
