Position Overview - Dade Electric Service is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on commercial, institutional, and infrastructure projects throughout South Florida. - This role works closely with project managers, foremen, and field crews to ensure electrical Systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications Install conduit systems, panels, switchgear, lighting, and power distribution Perform troubleshooting and electrical testing Ensure installations meet NEC and local code requirements Follow company safety procedures and jobsite safety policies Coordinate with foremen, supervisors, and other trades Assist with system startup, testing, and commissioning Qualifications Journeyman electrician license or equivalent experience 5+ years of electrical installation experience Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics Familiarity with NEC and electrical safety standards Ability to work in active construction environments Experience with municipal or wastewater treatment plant projects Experience with medium-voltage systems OSHA certification is a plus Compensation Benefits We offer a competitive compensation package and strong employee benefits, including: Company-paid healthcare Company-paid Medicare taxes Dental and vision coverage 401(k) retirement plan Professional and stable work environment Long-term career opportunities with an established South Florida contractor At Dade Electric Service, we are committed to safety, quality, and long-term partnerships, and we are looking for professionals who share our dedication to excellence.
