About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Pharmacovigilance to join their dynamic Clinical Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the company's clinical department and pharmacovigilance objectives are met in accordance with corporate milestones, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. This role involves providing strategic guidance on patient safety, leading patient safety initiatives, and maintaining expertise in the global drug safety landscape. The VP will also be tasked with evaluating and optimizing pharmacovigilance systems, establishing governance frameworks, and leading cross-functional safety governance to integrate pharmacovigilance into the company's drug development and corporate strategy. Applicants must have an MD or equivalent advanced degree, with a minimum of 10 years' of clinical drug safety/pharmacovigilance experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry. A background in oncology is preferred. The role requires a deep understanding of the drug development process, including safety surveillance activities, and experience with FDA and ICH guidelines. The VP will also be responsible for managing vendor performance, leading interactions with regulatory authorities, and developing and maintaining pharmacovigilance policies and SOPs. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing pharmacovigilance team.
