Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit position in Louisville, KY, requiring a minimum of two years of cardiovascular nursing experience and night shift availability. Details Work in a dedicated Cardiovascular Unit within a hospital setting Two cardiovascular units — CVU (16 beds) and CVI (15 beds) — providing intermediate care for cardiac surgery patients from pre‑op through discharge Patient population includes cardiac surgery, pre/post‑cardiac intervention (PTCA, cardioversion, generator implants, TAVR), and patients with atypical chest pain requiring monitoring 13‑week contract with 36 hours per week Night shift, 12‑hour shifts, 3 days per week Requirements Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state currently in hand Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum of 2 years of cardiovascular nursing experience required ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred Candidate must provide month and day of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration Additional Information Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, individualized care planning, patient and family education, and facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge processes Delegates tasks appropriately and monitors the accuracy and completeness of care provided by other team members Actively participates in unit‑based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer monitoring, CAUTIs, and documentation auditing Nursing practice is evidence‑based and guided by hospital policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines Pay Estimated weekly pay range for this role is $1,933 - $2,108. The weekly pay shown in this posting reflects the lower end of this range for local candidates and the higher end for travel candidates. Travel pay includes tax‑free stipends per IRS guidelines.
