Lexington, Kentucky Based Assistant Manager

We are still looking to add an assistant manager to CMJ Sporthorse that remains in Lexington, KY year-round. This person will be responsible for overseeing the care and health of our retirees and young horses. Job requirements include: 1. Working well within a team to manage the horses wellness and soundness 2. Ability to identify any and all medical issues that might arise ie laminitis, colic, wound care etc 3. Ability to administer IM and IV medications 4. Ability to drive a horse van and horse trailer with the upmost safety and attention to detail 5. Must be comfortable handling young horses and completing ground work with them 6. Must be comfortable helping manage service providers… such as vet and farrier 7. Must be comfortable making feed orders 8. Must be comfortable keeping all aspects of a high end facility clean and orderly 9. Must be cool headed during emergencies and willing to go over and beyond during such times 10. Experienced with all stages of life nutrition 11. Experience with sport horses preferred
