Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Registered Nurse (RN) - Event Medical Staff

Armour Medics LLC is seeking dependable, professional, and highly responsible Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide on-site medical and first-aid coverage at events throughout Southern California and surrounding areas.

This is a part-time, per-diem, event-based position for licensed nurses who want flexible assignments, additional income, experience in event medicine, and an opportunity to grow with a professional event medical company.

Assignments are scheduled according to event needs. Hours and shifts are not guaranteed.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

LVNs and RNs may be responsible for providing on-site medical support based on their license, qualifications, assigned role, medical direction, company protocols, and the requirements of the individual event.

Responsibilities may include:

• Provide professional on-site nursing, medical, and first-aid coverage
• Perform patient assessments and provide care within the individual's legal scope of practice
• Monitor patients, guests, participants, performers, employees, and event personnel for medical concerns
• Provide appropriate nursing interventions within company protocols and applicable medical direction
• Obtain and monitor vital signs
• Perform wound care and basic first-aid treatment
• Recognize medical emergencies and initiate appropriate emergency response
• Activate 911 and coordinate with local EMS when a higher level of care or transport is required
• Assist with continuity of care until EMS arrival or patient disposition
• Complete accurate patient-care reports and incident documentation
• Maintain assigned medical equipment, medications when applicable, and supplies
• Communicate clearly with event organizers, security personnel, supervisors, EMTs, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain patient privacy and professional confidentiality
• Maintain a calm, professional, and service-oriented presence
• Arrive on time, properly uniformed, and fully prepared for every accepted assignment
• Remain at the assigned post until properly relieved or dismissed by an Armour Medics supervisor

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must meet the requirements applicable to the position for which they are applying.

LVN applicants:

• Current and unrestricted California LVN license
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Current government-issued identification
• Reliable transportation
• Reliable phone and consistent communication
• Ability to perform duties within the California LVN scope of practice

RN applicants:

• Current and unrestricted California Registered Nurse license
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Current government-issued identification
• Reliable transportation
• Reliable phone and consistent communication
• Ability to perform duties within the California RN scope of practice

All applicants must also:

• Be able to stand or walk for extended periods
• Be capable of assisting patients safely when necessary
• Be available for days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended event shifts depending on availability
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, professionalism, teamwork, and communication skills
• Successfully complete required employment documentation and Armour Medics onboarding

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience in any of the following is highly valued:

Emergency department, urgent care, ambulance, fire/EMS, event medicine, occupational health, sports medicine, corrections, public safety, concerts, festivals, sporting events, entertainment venues, film/television productions, or large public gatherings.

Additional preferred qualifications may include ACLS, PALS, IV therapy/blood-withdrawal qualifications when applicable to the license and assignment, bilingual English/Spanish communication skills, leadership experience, and availability for weekend or last-minute assignments.

COMPENSATION

Compensation is based on license, experience, qualifications, assignment responsibilities, event complexity, and shift requirements.

Suggested starting ranges for the posting:

LVN: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
RN: $45.00-$55.00 per hour

Certain specialty, supervisory, holiday, last-minute, or higher-responsibility assignments may offer different compensation.

SCHEDULING

This is an as-needed, event-based position .

Assignments may take place throughout Los Angeles County, Orange County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, and other Southern California areas depending on company needs.

Employees are contacted when assignments become available and may accept shifts based on their availability.

There is no guaranteed minimum number of hours or assignments.

Once a nurse accepts an assignment, Armour Medics expects complete reliability. Event organizers depend on us to provide the medical staffing we commit to.

Late cancellations, failure to communicate, repeated tardiness, or failure to report for an accepted assignment may affect eligibility for future assignments.

OUR SELECTION PROCESS

Armour Medics maintains a thorough and selective hiring process because clinical judgment, patient safety, reliability, professionalism, and communication are critical in event medicine.

Qualified applicants may be required to complete an initial application review, structured interview, nursing-license and credential verification, scenario-based clinical assessment, professionalism and communication evaluation, reference or background verification when applicable, and final onboarding/orientation.

We are not looking for individuals who simply want to place their name on a staffing list and occasionally pick up shifts without accountability.

We are looking for professional LVNs and RNs who take pride in their license, honor their commitments, understand patient safety, remain calm when situations become serious, and are prepared to represent Armour Medics at a high standard.
