TWIC Card Required Security Rover Officer

Location: Chicago, IL South Side

Full-Time: MondayFriday | 2:00 PM 10:00 PM

Part-Time: Saturday & Sunday | 6:00 AM 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM 6:00 AM

Pay Rate: $19.50 per hour

We are seeking dependable and professional Security Rover Officers for a secure port facility on Chicago's South Side. This position is ideal for officers with patrol, rover, gate access, or industrial security experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced and regulated environment. Active TWIC Card REQUIRED for consideration. Applicants with strong security experience who are willing to obtain a TWIC card may be eligible for TWIC reimbursement assistance.

Required Qualifications

• Active TWIC Card
• Active Illinois PERC Card
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Professional demeanor and reliability

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous rover, patrol, gate access, port, warehouse, logistics, or industrial security experience
• 20-Hour Unarmed Security Training Certificate

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols throughout the property
• Monitor and secure interior and exterior areas of the facility
• Assist with access control and credential verification
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activity reports accurately
• Respond professionally and calmly to incidents and emergencies
• Enforce all site policies, procedures, and post orders
• Maintain a visible security presence and professional appearance at all times
