Lead CT Technologist

Summary $20,000 sign on bonus Work schedule: Tues/Wed/Thur/Fri (4 10‑hour shifts) 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Responsible for coordinating staff schedules, work assignments, and ensuring timely CT scans. Implements new protocols, trains staff, and oversees CT equipment quality control. Maintains compliance with accreditation agencies and collaborates with CT staff, radiology managers, physicians, and radiologists to optimize exam protocols, patient care, and image quality. Essential Functions Demonstrate proficiency in CT imaging equipment, techniques, and procedures for each vendor and software platform, including main campus and off‑campus imaging sites. Assimilate new CT scanning equipment and software. Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative statistical data and work with vendors to resolve technical problems. Assist in maintaining accreditation standards for sites performing CT exams and uphold quality assurance for existing and new scanners. Collaborate with CT staff, radiologists, and CT Division lead radiologists to ensure optimized exam protocols, patient care processes, and image quality. Function as a scanning technologist as needed to maintain direct patient care skills and imaging proficiency. Maintain written protocols so that CT protocols are accessible for staff technologists. Oversee regulatory requirements pertaining to CT, including ACR, JC, FDA‑MITA, Massachusetts State Radiation Control, and CMS. Assist the manager with performance evaluations by providing feedback and peer review of CT staff. Patient Care Requirement Yes – direct patient care is a core component of this role. Education Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology (required). Licenses and Credentials Radiologic Technologist – State License (required). Registered Technologist (ARRT‑R) or NMTCB (required). Computed Tomography (ARRT‑CT) (required). Experience 3–5 years working as a Radiologic Technologist (required). 2–3 years supervisory experience (preferred). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficiency with Information Management Subsystem software and CT imaging software. Competent use of computers and computer systems, including data entry and information processing. Effective communication with others to convey information. Up‑to‑date technical knowledge and application to work. Understanding of administrative and office procedures such as word processing, file and record management, transcription, and workplace terminology.
