Work Environment
This position operates in a fully remote setting, enhancing work-life balance while allowing you to connect with clients from the comfort of your own home. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mood disorder symptoms, including evaluating their intensity, frequency, and duration.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that align with clients' unique needs, goals, and preferences, utilizing therapeutic methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
- Monitor and document client progress consistently, adjusting treatment strategies based on their evolving needs and responses.
- Educate clients and families regarding mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care practices, fostering empowerment and understanding.
- Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for clients.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation while adhering to HIPAA regulations and ethical guidelines to ensure client confidentiality.
- Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and training sessions, contributing to an ongoing culture of professional development.
- Advocate for clients and mental health awareness, actively working to reduce stigma associated with mental health challenges.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role primarily centers around supporting clients experiencing challenges in relationships and mental health, particularly those facing issues related to divorce and family dynamics. You will engage with a diverse array of individuals and families, utilizing therapeutic techniques that foster stability and growth within their relational contexts.
Qualifications
- A valid and active Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license in the state of California.
- A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a secure and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
- Demonstrated empathy and a non-judgmental attitude toward clients’ experiences and struggles.
- Strong organizational skills to manage a clinical workload effectively.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in therapies addressing relationship dynamics, divorce counseling, and family-based interventions.
- Familiarity with evidence-based practices and current research in mood disorders.
- Previous work within an outpatient setting preferred, but not required.
Compensation and Benefits
