Travel Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) - Echo/Vascular

Job Summary Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) - Echo/Vascular for a 15‑week travel assignment in Rockwall, Texas. Candidates will provide high‑quality diagnostic imaging and support multidisciplinary clinical teams. Essential Work Functions Understand human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate diagnostic imaging into patient care plans. Prepare and position patients to ensure accurate imaging and prioritize comfort and safety. Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations of general and vascular studies. Evaluate images for clarity and accuracy. Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot all ultrasound equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards. Apply technical expertise and critical thinking to perform sonographic procedures effectively. Work efficiently in fast‑paced and high‑pressure environments while maintaining professionalism. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Required Qualifications Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program. Minimum of one year of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations. Preferred Qualifications Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification (ARDMS). Current ARRT certification in Sonography. Credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). (Other certifications or licenses may be required.) Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and friendly interpersonal communication. Reading, writing, and speaking in English. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions. Proficiency in PC skills. Physical, Interpersonal, and Technical Skills Physical: Ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal: Ability to work effectively with diverse personnel and maintain a positive attitude. Technical: Ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, and use department equipment. Mental: Ability to cope with frequent public contact and meet deadlines under pressure; work with and without close supervision; handle irregular schedules and sustained concentration.
