Sprinkler Service Technician

Sprinkler Service TechnicianJob Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Installation of fire sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildingsInstallation, service, and trouble-shooting of automatic fire sprinkler systems along with all its related equipmentWhen applicable, direct and/or participate in the trenching and repair of underground mains including backfilling and tampingAccurately complete, execute and process paperwork/electronic or paperless required by the office and corporate management systemsEnsure that all equipment; including any specialty valves and fire pumps are installed in strict compliance with manufacture's requirementsConduct/coordinate necessary testing of the system Ensure required certifications are completeMaintain open communication with the customer and provide information to the customer as requiredPerform all other duties assignedExpectations:Believe In, Live, and Support Our Mission Statement, Core Values and Business Plan DailySafety FirstEnsure timely and complete submittal of JSAs, Toolbox Talks, Audit Forms, etc.Ensure timely and accurate Incident and Accident ReportingHold yourself accountable for all Safety InitiativesHold yourself accountable for Safe Driving of Company VehiclesEnsure awareness and support of Stop Work AuthorityComplete all Training Requirements – Safety, Certifications, etc.Ensure all required documents are complete, accurate and professional, with required signaturesEnsure proper Maintenance and care of equipment – trucks, lifts, tools, etc.Keep jobsites clean and organizedEnsure Production Efficiency – awareness of budget vs. actual labor hours and proactive communication with superintendentSupport and Ensure Adherence to Company SOPs – Purchase Orders, Change Orders, etc.Timeliness – at the job on time; attendance; communication with supervisor; paperworkEnsure Customer Satisfaction and respond to Customer Satisfaction Survey feedback improvement opportunitiesMaintain Quality Control i.e. reduce the need for return trips and warranty workMaintain a Professional appearanceCommunicate effectively and professionally within the department and with internal and external customersTeamwork – maintain positive interactions within your team, local office, etc.Actively Participate in required team meetingsAbility to work overtime, out of town or on-call as neededKnowledge:Must have knowledge of fire sprinkler piping systems which includes fabrication of related piping and the various materials and applicable joining methodsUnderstand fire protection installation requirementsAbility to properly read fire protection blueprintsMinimum education of High School Diploma or EquivalentAmerican Fire Sprinkler Association training program designed for fire sprinkler foreman, preferredCertified state/federally-accredited Foreman, preferredState Backflow testing and repair certification, preferredForklift and scissor lift certification, preferredNicet II & III certification, preferredUnderstanding of NFPA codes and standardsWork Experience:Minimum of 3 years of experience as a fire sprinkler helper, preferredMinimum of 3 years of experience as a fire sprinkler apprentice/fitter, preferredSkills and Competencies:Ability to take direction from upper managementAccurately complete and maintain all paperworkMaintain vehicle and tools as per company policyMust have valid state driver's license and good driving recordSelf-motivated, Ambitious, Interactive, Communicative, Detail-oriented, and OrganizedKnowledgeable with NFPA 13 rules and all necessary codesAbility to interact and communicate in a professional and positive manner with other trades, customers, project managers, county officials, general contractors, etc.Demonstrate positive team work and ability to be a team leader and mentorMaintain a clean and safe work environmentComply with all company safety practices and the safety handbookComplete projects in a timely manner while providing the highest standard of quality work and customer satisfactionNO THIRD PARTY
