Roles and Responsibilities - Develop, maintain, and enhance server-side applications using PHP.
- Design, develop, and optimize MySQL databases, including schema design, indexing, and query performance.
- Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Apache or Nginx web servers on Linux environments.
- Build responsive, accessible, and cross-browser compatible user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap 5.
- Develop, maintain, and support websites and web applications across multiple devices and browsers.
- Create clean, maintainable, well-documented, and reusable code following coding standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, and server-related issues in development and production environments.
- Integrate and maintain third-party APIs and web services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop solutions, and deliver new features.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployments, and ongoing application maintenance.
- Implement web security best practices, including input validation, authentication, and protection against common vulnerabilities.
- Monitor website performance and recommend improvements for reliability, scalability, and user experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong experience with PHP development using modern coding practices.
- Solid understanding of MySQL database design, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Experience administering Linux servers, including SSH, shell scripting, cron jobs, and server troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web development.
- Hands-on experience with Bootstrap 5.
- Experience using DataTables to build interactive, searchable, and sortable data grids.
- Experience developing and maintaining responsive websites with cross-browser compatibility.
- Basic understanding of UI/UX and web design principles, including layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop for basic web graphics and image editing.
- Experience with Git and collaborative version control workflows.
- Strong understanding of web security concepts, including SQL injection prevention, XSS, CSRF, authentication, and secure coding practices.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
