Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab / EP

Location

Sioux Falls, SD

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x10-hour varying shifts (start times between 5:30 AM and 7:30 AM) | On-call requirement: 1 call shift per week and 1 call weekend every 3–4 weeks with a 30-minute response time

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor conscious sedation throughout cardiac and vascular procedures
• Circulate in a sterile environment across a high-volume cath lab performing approximately 30 procedures per day
• Assist with left and right heart catheterizations, PCIs, temporary and permanent pacemaker placements, and ICD implantations
• Support EP procedures, TEEs, cardioversions, venous ablations, and peripheral vascular angiograms
• Operate and document using equipment including Pyxis, Epic, Philips monitoring systems, Xcelera, Angiojets, EKOS machines, and Acist contrast injection systems
• Maintain a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio within an 8-fluoroscopy-room, 2-procedural-room department

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in South Dakota or a compact state
• Active AHA BLS certification
• Active ACLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience
• Must badge in and out at the facility for all shifts

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Graduation from an NLN or AACN accredited nursing program strongly preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Familiarity with Epic, Philips XIM monitoring systems, and cath lab-specific equipment
